Preview Settings
To modify settings for the style preview, open the TopStyle Options dialog from the Options menu or by pressing F8.
Then click on the Preview button in the column on the left to view the preview settings.
In this dialog, you can choose:
- The default internal browser: Determines which internal browser is used by the main preview, property
inspector and TopStyle's help system. Please note that the "Gecko" option will only be enabled if you
have Netscape Gecko installed.
- Mappings: you can force the preview page to be run through a local web server by setting
up a mapping to a valid local URL. To have a valid URL, the directory you map will need to be located
under the web document root for the web server, or you will need to create a web server mapping (alias) to
the directory. Consult the documentation for your web server for details on setting up a server mapping.
- External Browsers: the TopStyle installation program will look for Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Opera
on your system and create external browser links automatically. You can use this option to create links to
addition browsers or versions.
- Preview Documents: TopStyle generates a default preview document, but you can substitute any HTML file of
your own. You can also choose whether to remove existing style sheet links from the document for the
preview (this will not affect the original document).
